FAQs
How do you back up an Oracle database with Veeam Backup & Replication?
To back up your Oracle server, create a new backup job in Veeam Backup & Replication.
Add the required VMs.
Specify your backup storage repository.
During the backup process, Veeam Backup & Replication connects to VMs and examines VM content. If an Oracle database is detected, Veeam starts application-aware image processing, a special mechanism to maintain applications and database consistency in backups.
Alternatively, you can create an Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) backup job for your oracle database that can be stored in a Veeam Backup & Replication repository.
